Mobile Realtors Charitable Foundation Donates $15,000 in Games and Equipment to Mobile Parks and Recreation

The Mobile Area Association of Realtors Charitable Foundation has been working with the City of Mobile Parks and Recreation Department to fund improvements on multiple facilities and provide equipment for the youth in our community.

The donation valued at $15,000.00 includes video games, bumper tables, board games and other items. The partnering of these organizations helps to enrich the experience of student’s summer fun and learning. The games chosen have been designed to get our youth out and moving with at least 30 minutes of physical activity every day.

“Thousands of students participate in community activities provided by the Mobile Parks and Recreations Department each summer,” said Katrina Frazier, Community Activities Coordinator, in the City’s Parks and Rec. Press Release. “Many students in need will benefit from this donation, which was made possible by the generosity of Mobile Realtors Charitable Foundation. We thank them for helping us give back to the communities.”

There was a formal presentation Tuesday, June 6th, at 2 PM at the Mobile Parks and Recreation Department’s main office on Sage Avenue which demonstrated the partnership between the City of Mobile Parks and Recreation Department and the Mobile Realtors Charitable Foundation and showcased how businesses and government came together to revitalize local park programs.
