MAAR/WCR Joint Membership Luncheon

Our MAAR/WCR Joint Membership Luncheon was an event filled with gratitude for our dedicated members and excitement for the new members we welcomed. A special thanks to Guarantee Title Company for sponsoring this event on Thursday, August 24th, at The Country Club of Mobile. Attendees enjoyed the hearty cuisine and friendly conversation before our speakers presented.

First, Local Chapter President Victoria Huerta-Smith spoke on developments at the Women’s Council of REALTORS®, and CEO Stephanie White shared news from the Mobile Area Association of REALTORS®. Then guest speaker Beth Rouse, of McFadden, Rouse & Bender, LLC, shared recent cases dealing with current real estate issues.

As the lively awards portion of the luncheon commenced, MAAR Past-President Kelly Cummings received the prestigious REALTOR® of the Year award, and Misty Hellman won the David D. Roberts Scholarship Award. A big congratulations to both! Next, MAAR CEO Stephanie White recognized MAAR President-Elect Deborah Robinson with a Token of Gratitude for her continued exceptional service to the Association. Afterward, New MAAR Members took part in the Pinning Ceremony to receive their REALTOR® pins.
