Mobile Area Association of REALTORS® Named Founders Circle Partner for University of South Alabama Real Estate Major
Mobile, AL — January 2026
The Mobile Area Association of REALTORS® (MAAR) is proud to be recognized as a Founders Circle partner of the University of South Alabama’s Mitchell College of Business Real Estate Major, a program that officially launched this academic year and is already experiencing rapid growth and success.
Formerly offered as a concentration, the Mitchell College of Business elevated its real estate program to a full undergraduate major in Fall 2025. Under the leadership of Grayson Glaze, JD, CRE, CCIM, CPM, Program Director and Professor of Real Estate, student enrollment has more than doubled in just one semester, signaling strong demand and industry relevance.
MAAR’s Board of Directors voted to support the program as part of the association’s mission to strengthen the real estate profession through education, leadership development, and community partnerships. As a Founders Circle member, MAAR joins a coalition of industry leaders investing in the long-term success of the program and its students.
On January 28, 2026, representatives from MAAR attended the Founders Circle luncheon hosted by the Mitchell College of Business, where donors met with current students and heard firsthand how the program is shaping career-ready professionals. During the event, Dr. Michael Capella, Dean of the Mitchell College, and Glaze outlined a shared vision for the program to become the preeminent undergraduate real estate program on the Gulf Coast.
Our CEO, Cy Cain said, “By partnering with the Mitchell College of Business, MAAR is helping ensure that tomorrow’s real estate professionals are well-prepared, ethical, and deeply connected to our local market.”
The Founders Circle represents more than financial support—it reflects a strategic partnership between higher education and the Gulf Coast real estate community. MAAR is honored to be among the organizations helping redefine real estate education in the region.
